When
your a beginner the world of skating seems pretty
hidden. Where do you find skating news? Where do
i see what movies are coming out? Did Bob really
skate around a full pipe in switch?! Well there's
one major place you can go for skateboarding stories,
news, reviews,or even just a good mag to read on
the shitter if you'd like. The only mag that could
be is 'Transworld Skateboarding.'
There's
a new issue out every month plus a yearly photo
annual. The basic magazine includes:
• Ads (i'm not kidding on this.)
• Tips on: tricks, how to get sponsored, how
to meet a pro, etc.
• Asection (the litter box) where readers can
write in and talk about really whatever they want
to.
• The tangent (news) (contests, tours, any
skateboarding related news.. etc)
• Video reviews
• Lists a few websites to visit
• Skater's opinions, favorites, quotes.. etc
• Skate parks
• New pros/ams, and just a few ordinary every
day skaters that might have a few sponsors..
• Interviews
• and what skating products are wanted most
The downside to the mag is all the ads. They can
be helpful, telling you what vids are coming out,
who's on what team, new shoes, etc. But 1/4 of the
400 page magazine is ads. But hey! do what everyone
else does, turn the page and forget about it. Transworld
kicks ass! 80/100 (that's 8/10 for the fractionally
impaired)
