Review:
ES: Tom Penny Signature Shoe
By: Jay | July 20th 2003
I heard that my favorite skateboarder of all time has finally released his pro model shoe. Ever since I heard he was developing em, I wanted em. Well, I picked em up finally after they've been shipped to the local shop and they were just beautiful. A little on the costy side but I had my dad and a discount thingie. Anyways, I picked em up and skated em immiediately. I was simply taken aback how these skated. They broke in immediately which made me hella happy since my last couple pairs of shoes (I-Paths and Globes) had serious problems with stiffness.

The first thought that crossed my mind was that the Penny's skated EXACTLY like the Accels. No surprise there since Tom Penny's fav.shoes were the Accels. Everything about these are incredible... Flexible, board feel is off the hook, grip is exactly right, awesome cushioning, just everything you can expect from eS. They skate wonderfully and I even thought em better than my Koston 4s. Only sad thing about em is that the toe cap thing is set a little so you'll tear up the weird stitching on the toe pretty fast. That won't be much of a problem though cuz I'm pretty sure these will last. It should at least endure a good month or two of incredible skating. Possibly the best shoe I've skated. I give em 9.6/10.
