Steps: 4
1)Get your feet in a comfortable position
and approach the rail or curb at a moderate speed
(First timers take it slow but I find it will
slide easier if you go fast) Some like to come
at the object like a curve but this however creates
more friction on the object thus slowing you down..but
I guess it does work.
2)Usually
this trick tends to not need as high a ollie as
grinds on the truck but be sure to get ALL the
way on to the ledge. Then apply most of your pressure
to your leading foot over the nose so that when
you land, you are sliding with the nose of your
board on the object.
3)Some
don't put the full part of their nose on the ledge
or have the board and/or they're feet tweaked
over to add style and taste. but for now I'd stick
to just not falling.
4)When
you decide that you want to come off the slide
or have run out of momentum the you'll need to
turn off the object a 90 degress. This can be
done either direction. Some find it easier to
do it one way than the other. I'd recommend however
starting with LEDGES on this one. Also for the
extra flavor, try NOT turning your shoulder to
where you're going. I think this helps with the
grind and makes it look like you know what you're
doing. But also be carefull not to catch and fall
backwards blindly cracking the back of your dome
piece.
