This tutorial
will teach you how to give the cartoonish look to your images.
It is best to start with a high quality digital photo measuring
atleast 1000 pixles along one edge. You made need to modify
value if you are using something different. Here goes.
Step 1:: Open your image in Adobe Photoshop.
Step 2::Go to the Filter menu and go to Artistic
> Poster Edges
While in the box that pops up, set the values to what you
can see in the following image.

Step 3:: Now go to the Filter menu again
and this time go to
Artistic > Cutout. Set the values to the following.

Step 4::Now set the Contrast to +35%. This
can be found by going to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast.
Step 5:: After you have done the previous,
use Shift + Ctrl + L to run Auto Levels in Photoshop, or go
to Image > Adjustments > Auto Levels.
Step 6:: It is now time to run the shadow/highlight
tool. Go to
Image > Adjustments > Shadow/Highlight and use the following
values:

Step 7:: Finally run a simple Unsharp Mask
by going to Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask and adjust
the settings to your liking.
